THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS ORGANIZES CONFERENCE ON DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT 
On March 16, 2023, BPO.MP Company Limited participated in the Conference on Digital Transformation and Development of the Digital Technology Industry in Da Nang City, organized by the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications.
The conference focused on discussing solutions to align digital technology enterprises with programs, projects, and plans in compliance with legal regulations; proposing ideas and solutions for implementing a model of a digitally transformed city; providing guidance for digital transformation models applicable to small and micro enterprises; and offering support from digital technology companies.
In his speech at the conference, Mr. Nguyễn Quang Thanh, Director of the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications, stated that the city has achieved positive results in its digital transformation efforts. Notably, Da Nang ranked first in the national Digital Transformation Index for two consecutive years (2020 and 2021) and led in all three pillars: digital government, digital economy, and digital society – as announced by the Ministry of Information and Communications. In 2022, the city’s Information and Communications sector maintained stable growth with an increase of 8.8% compared to 2021, and the digital economy contributed an estimated 17% to the city’s GRDP.
Da Nang’s Development Goal Towards 2030 By 2030, Da Nang aims for the digital economy to account for at least 30% of the city’s GRDP, with the information technology industry contributing a minimum of 15%. The IT industry is expected to become a key economic sector, playing a pivotal role in restructuring the city’s economy towards sustainability and driving digital transformation across all economic and social sectors.
To achieve this goal, the city will intensify communication efforts regarding existing policies on IT industry development, support IT enterprises in improving production and business processes by applying international standards and norms, and enhance their capabilities to access global markets.

Even long-established companies with rigid cultures have successfully activated growth flywheels and “overcome challenges to grow,” such as Dat Bike, Anh Duc Digital, the Vietnam – UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), University of Da Nang. These are inspiring examples that can motivate more than 112,000 enterprises in the region to make breakthroughs in 2023.
“Digital Transformation Is Not a Solo Journey”
When aiming for rapid growth, company leadership must prioritize optimizing internal operations. Before digital transformation can begin, leaders must first upgrade their mindset and knowledge. It is crucial not to expect immediate business results from transformation alone. Leadership must instill determination within the management and staff, refusing to compromise with inertia and lack of commitment.
“Digital transformation is not a solo journey” was a key takeaway shared by Ms. My Huong, Director of the Vietnam – UK Institute for Research and Executive Education, University of Da Nang, after her experience implementing digital transformation. While leadership plays a vital role, the process also requires the joint efforts of pioneering teams, the full support of all employees, and close collaboration with solution providers.
