BPO.MP – PARTICIPATING IN THE 2024 YEAR-END REVIEW CONFERENCE OF THE INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS SECTOR

On the afternoon of January 7, the 2024 Year-End Review and 2025 Task Deployment Conference for the Information and Communications sector took place, with the attendance of leaders and representatives from various businesses across Da Nang City.

In 2024, Da Nang’s Information and Communications sector successfully fulfilled its assigned tasks and achieved significant milestones in applying information technology and promoting digital transformation across economic, social, and public administrative sectors. Notably, the sector’s overall growth indicators outperformed the city’s average. Total industry revenue reached VND 39,888 billion, marking a 9.07% increase compared to 2023. Software export turnover hit USD 165 million, up 11.6% from the previous year. The digital economy contributed 20.69% to the city’s GRDP.

Digital transformation efforts continued to be strongly promoted and yielded many positive results. Da Nang maintained its leading position in the ICT Readiness and Development Index among centrally governed cities and provinces. Remarkably, it remains the only locality in Vietnam to have held the top spot in this index for 14 consecutive years. In addition, the city surpassed its targets for online public service indicators.
