BPO.MP Participates in Quang Tri Province Digital Transformation Conference

On the morning of October 4, 2024, in Quang Tri Province, the Provincial Steering Committee for Digital Transformation held the 2024 Digital Transformation Conference under the theme “Innovative Digital Applications for Socio-Economic Development.” This event was organized in response to National Digital Transformation Day and Quang Tri Province Digital Transformation Day (October 10).

The 2024 Digital Transformation Conference in Quang Tri Province was attended by the Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee, who also serves as the Standing Deputy Head of the Provincial Digital Transformation Steering Committee. The event also welcomed leaders from provincial departments, agencies, mass organizations, districts, towns, and cities, as well as representatives from various units, enterprises, and digital community technology teams. The conference focused on innovative solutions for applying information technology across key sectors such as the economy, transportation, healthcare, education, and agriculture, with the aim of promoting sustainable development and enhancing the quality of life for local residents.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Hoang Nam, Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized the province’s strong awareness of the role and importance of digital transformation (DX) in socio-economic development. He highlighted it as a strategic opportunity for Quang Tri to accelerate its growth. In recent years, the Provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee have issued various resolutions, initiatives, and detailed action plans for digital transformation, encompassing over 40 specific tasks under the three main pillars: digital government, digital economy, and digital society. The province allocates around VND 40 billion annually to DX efforts, targeting the digital economy to contribute 10% of the GRDP by 2025, and 15% by 2030, with the goal of moving Quang Tri into the group of provinces with high Digital Transformation Index (DTI) rankings nationwide.

During the conference, delegates heard several insightful presentations on cutting-edge technological solutions to accelerate digital transformation in the province. Notable among them were:

A presentation on “AI Solutions for Digitizing Administrative Procedure Results”, which proposed leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize and automate administrative workflows, improving efficiency and reducing time for both government agencies and citizens.

A session on “VR360 – Virtual Reality Solutions for Digital Transformation”, which showcased how immersive technologies can enhance user experience and open up new possibilities in tourism promotion, urban management, and education through high interactivity and visual engagement.

Another key contribution was from Mr. Nguyen Hong Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, who discussed “Digital Transformation in Agriculture and Rural Development.” His presentation emphasized the critical role of digital technologies in enhancing supply chain management, production monitoring, and supporting farmers in adopting smart agriculture solutions. These efforts aim to modernize the agricultural sector and foster sustainable rural development.

Delegates Launch the Quang Tri Province Shared Database Repository

As part of the conference agenda, delegates took part in the official launch ceremony of the Quang Tri Province Shared Database Repository. This initiative aims to establish a centralized digital data space in the cloud to support standardized data sharing, enhance the effectiveness of government management and operations, and provide open data sources for citizens and businesses alike.
