DTU Career Week 2024: Bridging Students and Businesses

On the morning of June 18, 2024, Duy Tan University officially kicked off DTU Career Week 2024 at its campus located at 120 Hoang Minh Thao Street, Hoa Khanh Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District. This annual event serves as a vital bridge between major domestic and international corporations and a large number of students, with the aim of recruiting high-potential talent for the future workforce.

In his opening remarks at DTU Career Week 2024, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phu – Vice President of Duy Tan University – stated: “With the aim of fostering sustainable partnerships between academia and businesses in enhancing the quality of education, aligning training with labor market demands, and creating job opportunities for students, since 2006, Duy Tan University has collaborated with Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper to organize the Job Fair program.

Over the course of 16 editions, the Job Fair has attracted more than 1,000 participating organizations and companies from both inside and outside Da Nang, offering tens of thousands of job opportunities and directly receiving student job applications.

The event is also a valuable opportunity for enterprises to promote their brand image while recruiting high-quality human resources to meet their strategic development goals.

It can be said that Career Week is a ‘golden’ opportunity for students to confidently choose careers that align with their abilities and passions. At the same time, it provides students with a broader understanding of the labor market and insight into the most sought-after positions among businesses.”

This year, DTU Career Week 2024 takes place over two days:

• June 18: Focused on Health Sciences, Economics, and ICT sectors;
• June 20: Dedicated to Tourism, Foreign Languages, Humanities, and Law sectors.

DTU Career Week 2024 attracted the participation of over 130 businesses, offering more than 5,500 job opportunities across various sectors including Healthcare, Economics, Information Technology, Tourism, Languages, Law, and many others. Notable participating companies included HA Healthcare Group, CPC1 Hanoi, Vietnam Airlines Flight Training Center, Saigontourist Da Nang – Hue, Danang Marriott Resort & Spa, along with many other reputable organizations.

In addition to on-site recruitment activities, DTU Career Week 2024 featured a wide range of valuable programs such as signing ceremonies with numerous enterprises, career orientation and counseling sessions, as well as workshops focused on the essential skills that employers look for in candidates. During the event, Duy Tan University signed strategic cooperation agreements with key partners such as Voco Ma Belle, Wafaifo Quang Nam, Wyndham Hoi An Royal Beachfront Resort, Mikazuki Da Nang, and Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai. These collaborations not only expand career prospects for students but also demonstrate the strong ties between the university and industry in training and developing high-quality human resources.
