Young Entrepreneur from Da Nang Shares the Secret to “Staying Healthy” in Times of Crisis

In early November, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation and the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association held the Red Star Award Ceremony, honoring 86 outstanding young entrepreneurs in Vietnam in 2022. Among them, six young entrepreneurs from Da Nang, members of the city’s Young Entrepreneurs Association, were recognized.

Digitalization for Development

As one of the six honored with the Red Star Entrepreneur Award 2022, Ms. Hà Thị Đan Phượng – CEO of BPO.MP Co., Ltd. – considers this a proud and significant milestone in her professional journey.

Previously, Ms. Phượng worked in the tourism, hospitality, and restaurant sectors in Hội An (Quảng Nam). Driven by personal passion and emerging market opportunities, she transitioned into the field of technology, document digitization, and digital transformation while working in Ho Chi Minh City. She later returned to Da Nang to pursue her entrepreneurial vision, dedicating herself to the BPO industry and turning her ideas into reality.

According to Ms. Hà Thị Đan Phượng, at the time, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) was still a relatively new concept in Vietnam. Consequently, during its early stage, 100% of BPO.MP’s revenue came from international markets – primarily the UK and Japan.

After operating for a while, the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, posing significant challenges to her business. However, the crisis also presented new opportunities for growth. She and her team quickly pivoted to tap into the domestic market, which showed rising demand for online working solutions, data management, and document digitization. As a result, the company’s revenue during the pandemic years increased notably compared to the pre-pandemic period.

“BPO.MP has now developed various independent projects and service types in Business Process Outsourcing, including document digitization, data entry and processing, data labeling, data collection for AI research, translation and interpretation, image processing, and human resource introduction. We also offer digital transformation solutions such as ProEye – an intelligent character recognition solution, ProDMS – a digital archiving and document management system, and ProOffice – an intelligent e-office solution,” said the CEO of BPO.MP.

Ms. Phượng shared that BPO.MP’s core strategy is to embrace and adapt to the ongoing trends of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In the near future, the company aims to invest its resources in penetrating high-potential, specialized markets to increase revenue and strengthen its position in the international arena. The company also prioritizes customer satisfaction with the motto “customer-centric approach,” constantly innovating and applying the world’s most advanced technologies to enhance the quality of its BPO products and services. This commitment has been key to building the company’s reputation both domestically and abroad.
