Da Nang Aims to Become a High-Tech Hub Focused on AI and Semiconductors
Amid a strong global wave of digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is gradually becoming a core driver of socio-economic development. In particular, in Da Nang—the dynamic and innovative city of Central Vietnam—promoting AI applications and attracting investment in the AI sector has become a strategic priority, aligning with the city’s vision to become a national high-tech hub.
According to Conclusion No. 79-KL/TW dated May 13, 2024, issued by the Party Central Committee, Da Nang will focus on semiconductors and artificial intelligence, with targets set for 2030 and a vision toward 2045. In response to this direction, the People’s Committee of Da Nang recently organized the conference “Artificial Intelligence – A New Driver for Da Nang’s Development” at the Furama International Convention Center, gathering over 400 delegates, experts, and businesses from both domestic and international sectors.

Da Nang’s First AI Conference – A Signal for Tech Enterprises
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Standing Vice Chairman of Da Nang City, emphasized: “Artificial intelligence is an irreversible trend. With advantages in digital infrastructure, a young workforce, open business-support policies, and a high-quality living environment, Da Nang is committed to accompanying organizations, investors, and enterprises in building a smart, modern, and innovative city.”

The event featured key presentations from national and international experts, focusing on strategic orientations for AI development and applications in Vietnam, particularly in Da Nang. Topics discussed ranged from the current status and growth potential of AI to barriers and practical solutions tailored to local conditions.

Notably, Dr. Christopher Cuong Nguyen, founder and chairman of Aitomatic, together with expert Albert Antoine, analyzed successful AI models in advanced countries like the United States and Singapore, offering approaches Da Nang could adopt. Experts concluded that with strong infrastructure, open policies, and a young workforce, Da Nang can position itself as a key AI development hub in both Vietnam and the Southeast Asia region.

Beyond strategic directions, the conference highlighted practical AI applications in public administration, healthcare, education, urban management, and tax policy. Representatives from AIAVN, Google, KPMG, and prestigious educational and medical institutions shared specific deployment models and experiences, expanding perspectives on the city’s potential for comprehensive digital transformation.
Young Enterprises in Action: BPO.MP and the City’s Digital Journey
Amid this wave of innovation, BPO.MP, a young BPO enterprise in Da Nang, is actively transforming to keep pace with technological trends and contribute to the city’s digitalization.

- Integrating AI into operations, enhancing document processing efficiency, reducing response time, and improving accuracy.
- Investing in technology infrastructure, ensuring data security, storage capacity, and large-scale information processing.
- Seeking strategic partnerships, particularly in AI and digital transformation, to gradually expand value-added services aligned with public and private market needs.
Integrating AI is not only an internal development strategy but also a way for the company to actively support digital transformation in the public sector, a key priority in the city’s development plan.
The recent AI conference demonstrated Da Nang’s commitment to a high-tech future and served as an invitation for young enterprises like BPO.MP. In a city undergoing transformation, every technology company—big or small—can become a vital link in a sustainable digital ecosystem when supported at the right time and in the right way.
BPO.MP believes that in Da Nang’s journey to becoming a national hub for AI and semiconductors, young enterprises will remain the most pioneering, agile, and creative force.
