BPO.MP PARTICIPATES IN THE FORUM “WHAT OPPORTUNITIES FOR VIETNAMESE BUSINESS?”

What Opportunities for Vietnamese Businesses?

On the afternoon of November 10, at Furama Resort, the Da Nang Young Business Association (YBA) in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam – Da Nang Chapter (AMCHAM Da Nang) organized the forum titled “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the United States – What Opportunities for Vietnamese Businesses?”

The forum featured the special participation of Mr. Marc E. Knapper – U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Hồ Kỳ Minh – Member of the Standing Committee of the Da Nang Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr. Hồ Quang Bửu – Member of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam People’s Committee. Also in attendance were representatives from local departments and agencies, universities, business associations, and more than 300 entrepreneurs from Da Nang and surrounding regions.

In his opening speech, Mr. Lê Trí Hải – Chairman of YBA Da Nang – stated that the upgrade of the Vietnam–U.S. relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership opens up great opportunities for businesses from both countries. He also expressed the hope that the forum would provide the business community in Da Nang and Quang Nam with a deeper understanding of these opportunities, enabling them to adjust their business strategies to align with the global value chain, especially as more U.S. enterprises invest in Vietnam and the Central region, particularly in Da Nang.

U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Marc E. Knapper, noted that the relationship between the United States and Vietnam has never been stronger. This is reflected in the recent visit of the U.S. President to Vietnam and the joint effort to elevate the bilateral relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He emphasized that the United States and Vietnam are engaging in several key areas of cooperation, including agreements to promote the semiconductor industry. The upgrade of the bilateral relationship opens significant opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to participate in the global value chain. He also acknowledged the positive contributions of AMCHAM Da Nang and YBA Da Nang in strengthening the bilateral partnership between the two countries.

Within the framework of the forum, delegates focused their discussions on three key topics: high-quality education, infrastructure and manufacturing, and small enterprises.

Following three discussion sessions, BPO.MP and representatives from other participating businesses engaged in networking activities, fostering connections and exploring potential collaboration opportunities directly at the event.

The forum “What Opportunities for Vietnamese Enterprises?” is one of the practical initiatives that concretize the cooperation program between AMCHAM Da Nang and YBA Da Nang. It serves as a bridge to help businesses in Da Nang and the Central region, as well as U.S. enterprises, seize cooperation opportunities in the context of the newly elevated Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the United States.
