BPO.MP PARTICIPATES IN VIETNAM – KOREA ICT DAY 2022

The Vietnam – Korea Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Day, jointly organized by the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) and the Federation of Korean Information Industries (FKII), was held virtually on October 6–7, 2022. The event aimed to foster cooperation between enterprises of both countries.

Vietnam and South Korea share many similarities in their ICT policies. In the spirit of strengthening the ICT market collaboration between the two countries—especially in the post-COVID period—the Vietnamese government is promoting Digital Transformation, while Korea is also accelerating these initiatives.

As a result, many Vietnamese businesses and government agencies are heavily investing in digital transformation activities, cloud computing services, and remote work solutions. These measures help prepare for potential future pandemics. The outsourcing market in Korea has seen increasing demand, with significant investment in IT systems for the public sector, smart factories, cybersecurity, particularly in the financial sector, and cloud computing for the telecommunications industry.

During and after COVID-19, digital transformation and cybersecurity have become hot topics across industries. Many companies are ready and boldly investing in digital transformation projects. Statistics show that 72% of Korean companies have invested or are currently investing in short- and medium-term digital transformation projects. Key growth areas in Korea include Smart Factory solutions, Artificial Intelligence, OTT and gaming, Cybersecurity, Digital Transformation, remote working solutions, online education, and digital healthcare.

Notably, many Korean gaming companies are facing a shortage of skilled labor. In terms of infrastructure, cloud computing is seen as the future trend following the COVID-19 pandemic.

In Vietnam, the current IT workforce includes approximately 300 universities and colleges, 430,000 IT engineers, and 50,000 IT students. This has positioned Vietnam 5th globally in ICT development index, 13th among the top 50 digital nations, and 18th among the top 100 global outsourcing destinations.

Vietnam is seen as a potential hub for development and is increasingly targeted by foreign investors for outsourcing and software development. BPO.MP also leverages its strengths and digital transformation foundation to continue offering solutions that meet the needs of the Vietnamese market.

By 2022, BPO.MP had successfully launched various digital transformation products and services to the market. Nevertheless, the company continues to invest, develop, and collaborate with technology partners to enhance and deliver better solutions, contributing to the digital transformation revolution.
