RED STAR ENTREPRENEUR AT MP BPO AND HER JOURNEY OF COMMUNITY-DRIVEN MISSION

The 2022 Red Star Award was presented to a pioneering female CEO in the BPO sector – Ms. Hà Thị Đan Phượng, Director of the Da Nang branch of Minh Phuc Co., Ltd., and Director of BPO.MP Co., Ltd. The award ceremony took place on November 8, 2022, at the National Convention Center in Hanoi.

Between 2010 and 2015, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) was still a relatively new field in Vietnam. At that time, few people knew about or chose to venture into technology and document digitization, as the domestic market had yet to open up. Overcoming initial obstacles with accumulated experience, sharp insight, creativity, and a fearless spirit, Ms. Hà Thị Đan Phượng chose to start her entrepreneurial journey in BPO.

In an interview, Ms. Phượng shared:

“Before founding BPO.MP and committing to the BPO field, I had spent 16 years working in technology, document digitization, and digital transformation. The startup journey was certainly challenging, but I considered it a path of personal growth and a push to constantly improve, adapt, and innovate.”

Today, MP BPO has grown into a company with a solid market presence over its 5-year development journey, providing a wide range of business process outsourcing services and tech-driven solutions for clients. These include document arrangement and digitization, data entry and processing, data annotation for AI training, DTP image processing, enterprise chatbot and virtual assistant services, accounting outsourcing, translation and interpretation, and human resource sourcing.

Ms. Phượng and her team overcame numerous early challenges, especially as 100% of the company’s revenue initially came from overseas projects. Finding clients and partners in such an unfamiliar industry was a major hurdle for her and her colleagues.

During the COVID-19 pandemic—a time when many businesses struggled—Ms. Phượng’s leadership helped MP BPO identify opportunities within the untapped domestic market. Despite numerous challenges, BPO.MP Co., Ltd. was officially established on October 31, 2017. Since then, the company has actively contributed to the Fourth Industrial Revolution by reshaping the digital economy, advancing digitization across sectors, and meeting the growing demands of the Vietnamese market.

More than anyone else, Ms. Phuong deeply understands operational processes and possesses many groundbreaking ideas in the BPO field. Although MP BPO is a relatively young company, it has gained the trust and recognition of numerous partners. The growth of MP BPO has kept pace with global trends and the continuous evolution of technology, ensuring that the company always delivers the most advanced and effective solutions to its clients.

As the Director of BPO.MP Co., Ltd, Ms. Phuong and the company’s leadership team have developed production and business strategies aimed at growing the company while securing jobs, benefits, and rights for employees. With the motto “As technology advances, businesses won’t be left behind” and the slogan “Respect is success,” MP BPO has become an outstanding member of the MP Group ecosystem.

Thanks to the application of modern technology, combined with a team of experienced professionals and strong management capabilities, more than 30% of MP BPO’s current revenue comes from the domestic market. We aim to raise this figure to over 50% within the next two years. For domestic and international markets, the solutions and services are tailored to meet specific needs. In Vietnam, we have already developed optimized digitization solutions for both large and small enterprises.

Ms. Phuong’s contributions to overall development have been recognized with the prestigious Red Star Award – Outstanding Young Vietnamese Entrepreneur 2022, selected by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association.
